Jan Hammond is an Ohio-based mountain dulcimer player, singer
and song writer. She has a distinctive style of contemporary
folk that focuses on simple melodies and thoughtful lyrics.
Jan has a number of first place awards from dulcimer competitions,
at the local, state and regional level of the United States.
In 2005, she placed first at the Kentucky State Mountain Dulcimer
Championship and was a top five finalist at the national competition
in Winfield, KS. She repeated her first place finish at the
2006 Mid-Eastern Regional Competition for the third time and
the Kentucky State Dulcimer Championship for the second year

River Crossing plays an energetic style of Celtic and Old
Time music. Their name comes from the many rivers they cross
in their travels while playing and symbolically from the borders
their music crosses as they play fine music in the tradition
of many regions such as Kentucky, West Virginia and even across
the big water, to Ireland and Scotland. The group uses a combination
of fiddles, guitar, banjo, whistle, bouzouki and even bagpipes.
Their third CD is due out in the summer of 2003. They are
