Jencks is a national touring performer, songwriter, and folk
musician whose career is based as
much in ministering to the human spirit,
as
it is in the performance of music. He
has studied music performance at the under-graduate and graduate
level, and has spent the last several years traveling around
the country… performing and teaching. Joe has had the
unique pleasure of sharing the stage with folk artists such
as Pete Seeger, Utah Phillips, Bill Staines, John McCutcheon,
Pat Humphries, Tret Fure and Charlie King. Joe currently resides
in Cleveland’s Near West Side/Ohio City neighborhood. Joe’s
new CD, “I Hear Your Voice,” was recorded in the Seattle area,
and released in January of 2003. The disc is being praised
as a significant work of modern folk by aficionados, DJ’s,
and reviewers alike. |

River Crossing plays an energetic style of Celtic and Old
Time music. Their name comes from the many rivers they cross
in their travels while playing and symbolically from the borders
their music crosses as they play fine music in the tradition
of many regions such as Kentucky, West Virginia and even across
the big water, to Ireland and Scotland. The group uses a combination
of fiddles, guitar, banjo, whistle, bouzouki and even bagpipes.
Their third CD is due out in the summer of 2003. They are
available for concerts, educational programs, festivals, public
and private events. |
