Lunch
- Blue Lunch is a six piece band
which plays 1950's era swing and jump blues along with Chicago-style
blues. Blue Lunch's lineup of bass, guitar, harmonica, keyboards
and a two-man horn section enables Blue Lunch to keep the dance

Rose
- Blue Rose performs music in the
Chinese and American tradition, and features a diverse collection
of instruments. The duo is Kim Murley, who trained at the Shanghai
Conservatory of Music, and Dan Levenson, voted by Banjo
Newsletter readers as one of the top 10 banjo players.

Bluegrass Hotline
- Together since 1992, The Bluegrass
Hotline play their own style of traditional bluegrass music.
Their first release is appropriately called, "For The First

- The Boiled Buzzards
- The Boiled Buzzards are considered
by Steve Davis of The Devil's Box to be one of "the
most influential oldtime stringbands of recent years."
This nationally-known band has released four albums. The Boiled

Brown
- Charley's songs are described
as playful, enlightening, nostalgic, unassuming, sad, and easily
identifiable to all. They are, like Charley, timeless. He's
been playing music for over 40 years now, and plays regularly

Campbell
- Walt has toured the Midwest, New
York and New England for the past five years. He's opened for
John Gorka, Bill Morrisey and others in modern acoustic music.

Bandersnatch
- Furmious Bandersnatch is a trio
formed ten years ago to play for contra dances. They specialize
in original and traditional dance music from the Americas, the
British Isles and the world. Their self-titled album was released

- Gary, a former Boston subway musician,

Hotfoot Bluegrass Band
- The Hotfoot Bluegrass Band stepped
out in 1977, and has appeared on college campuses, fairs and
festivals from Winnipeg to Kerrville. They're known for their
traditional bluegrass and original song, and have released three
albums. The Hotfoot Bluegrass Band appears on Folknet's Acoustic

and Dave
- Also known as Jim Tucker and Dave
Trowbridge. Since 1988 they've performed early country music
in the style of the Carter Family and the Blue Sky Boys. These
Marimac recording artists appear at Hale Farm and
Village in Bath, OH each weekend June through October.

- Dave, Generation X spokesman and
anti-songwriter, is a favorite at college bars in Georgia and
coffee houses in Cleveland (go figure). He was a semi-finalist
in Musician Magazine's 1994 "Best Unsigned Band"

Samels Family
- The Samels Family is a trio of
"by ear" musicians who play traditional instrumentals,
frequently in an historical context. The group consists of parents,
Clayton and Paula, with teenage son Robert. Father and son have
won numerous awards, including a pair at the 1995 Roscoe Village's
Dulcimer Days. The Samels Family can be contact through Folknet.

Schafer
- Jim Schafer's involvement in the
folk music community began with his participation in the establishment
of the Red Horse Hollow Acoustic Music Arts Center in 1979.
Writing songs and performing professionally since 1975 as both
a solo and group act, he's produced and engineered several albums,
including Folknet's Acoustic Harvest.

Schilling
- Bill Schilling has been singing
and playing various folk instruments for over 25 years. Bill
is a high-energy performer who plays 12 and 6 string guitars,
autoharp, hammered and fretted dulcimers, banjo guitar, ukuleles,
recorders, digital horn, jug, and an assortment of inexpensive
or homemade instruments. Bill is also the founder and current
leader of Dulci-More:
Folk & Traditional Musicians.

the Bow
- Tap the Bow formed in 1992 and
specializes in celtic folk music. The members range in age from
14 to 40-something with some members tracing their roots to

Walker
- Hal grew up playing his harmonica
along the banks of the Cuyahoga River. Also a guitarist and
pianist, he includes in his show songs, poetry, and "100%
improv." Hal was featured on the main stage of the 25th
Kent State Folk Festival and recently returned to Northeast
Ohio after a period performing in New York City. Hal can be
